Boxing training for people in a wheelchair and people with disabilities or behavioural challenges

At Straight Forward Sport, boxing is about more than just fitness or technique. Sport can contribute to self-confidence, mental resilience, structure and personal development.

That is why, alongside my current work, I am adding a new target group within Straight Forward Sport. I will start offering boxing training for people in wheelchairs and for people with disabilities or behavioural challenges.

With this step, I aim to make boxing more accessible for people who still have limited suitable sports opportunities within the fitness and sports world.

Boxing tailored to the individual

Every training session is adapted to the person. We look at abilities, capacity, level and personal goals.

The training focuses on:

  • fitness and strength
  • coordination and reaction speed
  • mental resilience
  • structure and focus
  • enjoyment of movement
  • self-confidence

For people in wheelchairs, the focus is more on upper body strength, technique and conditioning. For people with behavioural challenges, boxing can help with regulating stress, improving concentration and building discipline.

Why I am taking this step

Alongside my work as the owner of Straight Forward Sport, I also work as a movement therapist. From this experience, I have seen how powerful sport and physical activity can be both physically and mentally.

Personal guidance, structure and attention often make the real difference.

That is why this expansion fits perfectly with the vision of Straight Forward Sport.

Personal coaching is key

No standard approach, but coaching that fits the person in front of me.

In every training session, development at an individual level is central. By combining boxing with physical challenge, structure and guidance, I aim to contribute to both physical and mental growth.

More than just sport

For me, this is not only about delivering boxing sessions.

It is about getting people moving, building self-confidence and helping them experience the positive impact sport can have on everyday life.

This is a new step within Straight Forward Sport that gives me a lot of motivation and energy  and it is only the beginning of what I want to build further.
